

Andrew Solares
A virtuosic musician, commercial trumpet player Andrew Solares is enjoying a fulfilling career as a freelance artist.
Andrew has recorded on many projects and in many venues: some projects include the album "Sky Blossom: Songs from My Tour of Duty" with Alexis Cole, single “Somebody New” with Sophia James, and many other independent recording projects. He has performed at the Renée and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall, Jazz at Lincoln Center - Rose Theater, Catalina Jazz Club, Cicada Club, Meng Concert Hall, The Muckenthaler Cultural Center, Carpenter Performing Arts Center, and many more. Andrew has performed alongside various artists including Jeff Hamilton, John Clayton, Bob Sheppard, Terell Stafford, Gilbert Castellanos, and Michael Dease.
Andrew is an extremely diverse musician, having experience in both orchestras and wind ensembles alike. Not only does Andrew perform and record at the highest level, he also composes and arranges.

His Story
Andrew Solares has recently completed his Master’s in Jazz Studies at California State University Fullerton, and has completed the Jazz Studies Performance Program at the Bob Cole Conservatory of Music at CSULB (being awarded the Bob Cole Scholarship). Currently, Andrew is maintaining a private music studio and is the COO/Manager of Thurmond Music, teaching and coaching the next generations of trumpeters/musicians.
